Jam Sessions are a way to get the topics you choose out into the open where active agile practitioners can help or offer other points of view.
Here's how it works...
There are five chairs and four volunteers (initially) to sit in them. The group will generate topics on note cards--the thornier the question, the better the discussion tends to be. We'll have some 1-5 minute "lightning talks" to help with the topic generation.
The fun begins when the "panelists" draw the first card and begin discussing the topic. The empty chair is for anyone who wishes to add a question or comment to the mix. After 10 minutes of discussion, the group decides whether to keep discussing the topic or to move on to the next topic.
WE NEED THREE VOLUNTEERS to be on the panel. Have a juicy topic in mind and that's all you need to do to prepare.
Milwaukee Agile is geared toward both experienced and brand new practitioners. The pizza and beer are free and sponsored by Redpoint Technologies and MillerCoors.
